A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
COST ESTIMATE AND MAP OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 54
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions from the City Council
the Public Works Director has prepared plans, specifications, a
cost estimate, and an assessment district map for use in connection
with proposed Assessment District No. 54, for the purpose of
constructing certain improvements consisting of paving certain
alleys in those areas of the City known as Newport Heights and
Balboa; and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications are identified as
Drawing No. A- 5044 -5, consisting of 41 sheets numbered 1 to 41,
inclusive; said cost estimate is set forth in the document
entitled, "Revised Preliminary Report on Proposed Assessment
District No. 54 (Alley Paving in Newport Heights and Balboa) ",
prepared by Joseph T. Devlin, Public Works Director, and dated
November 8, 1971; said assessment district is identified as follows:
Map entitled "Map Showing Boundary of Assessment District No. 54,
in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, Newport
Heights and Balboa Alley Improvements ", identified as Drawing
No. M- 5145 -5, dated November 10, 1971; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to consider a
Resolution of Intention to order certain alley improvements in
said proposed assessment district pursuant to the provisions of
the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets &
Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, prior to consideration of said Resolution of
Intention it is the desire of the City Council to adopt the J
plans, specifications, cost estimate and assessment district map

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
is the City of Newport Beach that the above described plans,
specifications, cost estimate and assessment district map are
approved and adopted.
ADOPTED this 13th day of December , 1971.
