A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AN EXTENSION OF
TIME PERIOD FOR COMPLETION OF THE TERMS OF
THE ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ALAN M.
• . VOORHEES & ASSOCIATES FOR PHASE I OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH TRANSPORTATION STUDY
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7535 dated September 20, 1971,
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach authorized execution
of an agreement between the City of Newport Beach and Alan M.
Voorhees & Associates, engineers, for engineering services in
connection with Phase I of the Newport Beach Transportation Study,-
and
WHEREAS, contingent upon the City providing certain data
in connection therewith, the completion date for said Phase I
Study is January 28, 1972; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that because of a delay
in being able to fully develop the necessary data to be supplied
to said engineers it will be necessary to extend the time required
for completion of said Phase I Study, and it would be in the best
interests of the City to do so;
NOW* THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the completion date for the above
described Phase I Study is extended to August 15, 1972, and that,
pursuant to the provisions of the agreement, the Public Works
Director is hereby authorized to notify Alan M. Voorhees &
Associates, in writing, of said extension of time.
ADOPTED this 24th day of January, 1972.
