A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
AUTOMOTIVE AND COMPREHENSIVE PUBLIC LIABILITY
INSURANCE COVERAGE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
automotive and comprehensive public liability insurance coverage,
in accordance with the specifications dated December 1, 1971,
bids were received and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Anderson and Milum representing Pacific Indemnity
Company as the primary carrier and Midland Insurance Company as the
excess carrier;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Anderson and Milum
representing Pacific Indemnity Company as the primary carrier and
Midland Insurance Company as the excess carrier for $5,000,000
combined single limit personal injury and property damage insurance
be accepted, and that a three -year contract, commencing February 1,
1972, and ending January 31, be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 31st day of January, 1972.
