A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH CONFIRMING THE STATEMENT
OF COSTS AND EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE DEMOLITION
OF THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 1920 -1/2 COURT STREET
(�. IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on May 17, 1971, the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution
No. 7412 finding and declaring that the building located at
1920 -1/2 Court Street in the City of Newport Beach, legally
described as;
Lot 11, Block 119, first addition to Newport Beach,
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California;
was a public nuisance, and directed the owner to abate said
nuisance, with the provision that if the nuisance was not so
abated by the owner, the City Manager should cause the necessary
work to be done, pursuant to the authority granted by Chapter
15.28 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the owner subsequently elected to have the
City Manager cause the necessary demolition and removal of said
building; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at a public hearing has
considered the statement of incidental costs and expenses incurred
in the demolition of said building, as submitted by the City
Manager, including all protests by interested parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the statement of costs and expenses
above described, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk, is hereby confirmed and adopted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if such statement is not
paid by the property owner within fifteen (15) days from the
date hereof, it shall constitute.a lien on the above real property,

to be collected as a public assessment against said real property,
and certified copies of this resolution and expense statement as
adopted herein shall be filed with the Orange County Auditor, the
Orange County Assessor, and the Orange County Tax Collector;
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in the event such statement
is paid within fifteen (15) days from the date hereof, this
resolution shall become void.
