A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING SAN
JOAQUIN HILLS ROAD EASTERLY OF MAC ARTHUR
BOULEVARD TO THE EASTERN BOUNDARY OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AS A THROUGH STREET
WHEREAS, Section 12,.36.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolu-
tion designates a street or portion thereof as a through
street the City Traffic Engineer shall erect stop signs on
each and every street intersecting such through street or
portion thereof so designated and every driver of a vehicle
shall stop at such through street as required by the California
Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, the following described street or portion
thereof, should be designated as a through street where vehicles
are required to stop;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the following street or por-
tion thereof is hereby designated as a through street:
San Joaquin Hills Road, easterly of MacArthur
Boulevard, to the eastern boundary of the City
ADOPTED this 22nd day of January , 1973 .
