A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING INTERSECTIONS AT
WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND
DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT
NECESSARY STOP SIGNS, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
• NO. 5962
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution
designates and describes an intersection at which vehicles are
required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the City
Traffic Engineer shall erect stop signsiat those entrances of
such intersection where a stop is required and every driver of
a vehicle shall stop at such intersection; and
WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated
as intersections where vehicles are required to stop at one
or more entrances thereto as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that each of the following described
locations is hereby designated as an intersection at which
vehicles are required to stop, and the City Traffic Engineer
is hereby directed to erect and maintain stop signs at each of
said locations:
On Balboa Boulevard at 38th Street.
On 36th Street at Balboa Boulevard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 5962 is
hereby rescinded.
