A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
MAINTENANCE DREDGING OF THE GRAND CANAL, 1973 -74,
CONTRACT NO. 1499
• WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with the maintenance dredging of the Grand Canal,
for the fiscal year 1973 -74, in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the
28th day of February, 1974, and publicly opened and declared;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is SHELLMAKER, INC.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of SHELLMAKER, INC., for
the work in the amount of $14,500.00 be accepted, and that the
contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 25th day of March, 1974.
