RESOLUTION NO. 8238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
GRANT OF EASEMENT TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
EDISON COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH THE REROUTING
OF SERVICES REQUIRED BY THE DEVELOPMENT OF
TRACT NO. 3867 (PROMONTORY BAY)
WHEREAS, in connection with the development of
Tract 3867 (Promontory Bay) and the realignment of Bayside
Drive, the City of Newport Beach has been requested to grant
an easement to the Southern California Edison Company which
would provide for the necessary rerouting of electrical and
related services to said Tract; and
WHEREAS, the proposed grant of easement involves two
strips of land in a portion of Block 94 of Irvine's Subdivision,
generally referred to as the Balboa Yacht Basin, more particularly
described as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that execution
of said grant of easement would be desirable and in the best
interests of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the above - described grant
of easement to the Southern California Edison Company in
connection with the development of Tract 3867 (Promontory Bay).
ADOPTED this 22nd day of April, 1974.
