RESOLUTION NO. 8242
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
GRANT OF EASEMENT TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
EDISON COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH THE NEW
ELECTRICAL SERVICE REQUIRED FOR MULTI- PURPOSE
ROOM TO HOUSE THE NEW COMPUTER
WHEREAS, on April 8, 1974, the City Council approved
a revised Master Plan for the City Hall site, including the re-
modeling of the multi - purpose room to house the new computer;
and
WHEREAS, a major item of work consists of bringing a
new 12,000 -volt underground electrical service to the proposed
computer facility, and a public utility easement is required
for routing said service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
granting of said public utility easement to the Southern
California Edison Company would be in the best interests of
the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes the Mayor and
City Clerk to execute a grant of easement to the Southern
California Edison Company as necessary to provide the electrical
service above described.
ADOPTED this 13th day of May, 1974.
