RESOLUTION NO. 8310
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON A PORTION OF OCEAN BOULEVARD,
CORONA DEL MAR, DURING SUMMER MONTHS
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by resolution
designate streets or portions of streets on which the parking
or standing of vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall designate
in the resolution the days of the week and the exact hours during
which such prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to restrict parking of
vehicles on the northerly side of Ocean Boulevard between Jasmine
and Larkspur Avenues during the summer months;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited on the northerly side of Ocean Boulevard between
Jasmine and Larkspur Avenues, in Corona del Mar, on Saturdays,
Sundays and Holidays, from May 15 to the Monday after Labor Day;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
area to indicate such parking prohibition.
ADOPTED this 8th day of July, 1974.
