A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING VILLA WAY A ONE -
WAY STREET FOR SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC ONLY, AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 7489
• WHEREAS, Section 12.52.010 of the Newport Beach
• Municipal Code provides that whenever any resolution of this
City designates any one -way street or alley, the City Traffic
Engineer shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof,
and Section 12.52.020 of the Municipal Code provides that
when signs are erected on any one -way street or alley giving
notice thereof, no person shall drive, or park, any vehicle
in a direction contrary thereto; and
WHEREAS, the street hereinafter described is the
street which should be designated as a one -way street in order
to facilitate the flow of traffic and eliminate traffic hazards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the following street (from
the alley north of 31st Street to 28th Street) is hereby
designated as a one -way street:
Villa Way (for southbound traffic only from the
alley north of 31st Street to 28th Street)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
street to indicate the above designation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 7489 is
hereby repealed.
ADOPTED this 9th day of February , 1976.
