A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CLARKE
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR STORM DRAIN AND STREET
IMPROVEMENTS AT FINLEY AVENUE FROM NEWPORT
BOULEVARD TO 34TH STREET, 1975 -76 CONTRACT
NO. 1668
• WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the storm drain and street improvements
at Finley Avenue from Newport Boulevard to 34th Street, in
accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 9th day of March, 1976,
and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefore is Clarke Construction Company;
NOW,'IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Clarke Construction
Company for the work in the amount of $101,963.50 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to said
bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
