RESOLUTION NO. 8809
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE
SIDEWALK EASEMENT TO BE VACATED AND ABANDONED
(BAYSIDE AND BALBOA ISLAND CHANNEL APPROXIMATELY
850 FEET WESTERLY OF MARINE AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach a certain drawing entitled "Vacation of 5' Sidewalk
Easement in Tract 8073" being the City of Newport Beach
Drawing No. R /W- 5338 -L, dated June 17, 1976, showing a 5 -foot
wide sidewalk easement along the westerly edge of Lot 2 of
Tract No. 8073 which had been originally dedicated to serve
as one possible means of providing an accessway connecting
Bayside Drive to a public walkway along the Balboa Island
Channel and which is more particularly described as follows:
"A strip of land being a portion of Lot 2,
Tract 8073, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 327, pages 8 and 9 of Miscellaneous
Maps in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Orange, State of California, said
strip being the most westerly 5.00 feet, of
said lot, measured at right angles from the
westerly line thereof.
The easterly line of said strip being prolonged .
or shortened to terminate in the northerly and
southerly lines of said Lot 2."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said map is hereby approved and
adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed to file the
same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said sidewalk
easement.
ADOPTED this 28th day of June 1976.
