RESOLUTION NO. 8961 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING CERTAIN <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE PLANNED COMMUNITY DISTRICT <br />REGULATIONS FOR KOLL CENTER NEWPORT TO ALLOW <br />• THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO GRANT EXCEPTIONS <br />TO THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS IN THE <br />COMMERCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL OFFICE AREAS OF <br />THE PLANNED COMMUNITY (Amendment No. 475) <br />WHEREAS, Section 20.51.$79 of the Newport Beach <br />Municipal Code provides that final amendments to a Planned <br />Community Development Plan must be approved by a Resolution of <br />the City Council setting forth full particulars of the amend- <br />ment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public <br />hearing on December 2, 1976 at which time it considered certain <br />amendments to the Planned Community Text for "Koll Center <br />Newport "; and <br />WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission <br />adopted Resolution No. 965, recommending to the City Council that <br />certain amendments of the Planned Community District Regulations <br />for "Koll Center Newport" be adopted as follows: <br />PART II, SECTION III. A. be amended to read as <br />follows: <br />"Section III. General Development Standards <br />For Commercial Land <br />A. Site Area <br />Minimum site area shall not be less than thirty <br />thousand (30,000) square feet. Footprint lots shall <br />have all required appurtenant areas contiguous thereto <br />and the sum of these areas shall not be less than <br />thirty thousand (30,000) square feet. <br />Exception: <br />The Planning Commission may authorize an exception <br />to the minimum site area. Application for any such <br />• exception shall be made at the time of the filing of <br />a tentative map by the applicant.
