A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AN AMEND-
MENT TO THE PLANNED COMMUNITY TEXT FOR
NEWPORT PLACE DEALING WITH THE PARKING
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SHERATON HOTEL
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.070 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that final amendments to a Planned
Community Development Plan must be approved by a Resolution
of the City Council setting forth full particulars of the
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public
hearing on May 5, 1977 at which time it considered an amendment
to the Planned Community Development Plan for "Newport Place "; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission
adopted Resolution No. 987 recommending to the City Council that
an amendment of the Planned Community Development Plan for "Newport
Place" dealing with parking requirements for the Sheraton Hotel
by deleting the provisions added by Resolution No. 8262 adopted
by the City Council on June 10, 1974 from Section III, D, 6,
be adopted.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
an amendment to said Planned Community Development Plan for
"Newport Place" as set forth above is desirable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing
on the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of
law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
Development Plan for "Newport Place" as referred to hereinabove.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of May 1977
