A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH CONCURRING WITH THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS' DECLARATION THAT ALL OF THAT PORTION
OF JAMBOREE ROAD BRIDGE AT SANTIAGO CREEK LYING
Is WITHIN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IS COUNTY HIGHWAY
DURING THE PERIOD OF IMPROVEMENT OF SAID ROAD BY
THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
WHEREAS, a certain portion of Jamboree Road Bridge
at San Diego Creek, lying within the city limits of Newport
Beach, is deemed to be a highway of County -wide importance;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange proposes to improve
said portion of Jamboree Road Bridge; and
WHEREAS, under a separate contract the County of
Orange is widening the two Jamboree Road Bridges of San Diego
Creek; and
WHEREAS, in order for the County to administer the
contract and construct the bridges, the bridges must be declared
to be on a county highway; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1700,
Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code,
the Board of Supervisors of Orange County adopted a resolution
on April 12, 1977, declaring the Jamboree Road Bridge at San
Diego Creek to be a County highway during the period of improve-
ment of said road by the County of Orange;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the City of Newport Beach
concurs with the County Board of Supervisors in declaring that
the Jamboree Road Bridge at San Diego Creek to be a County
highway during the period of improvement of said road by the
County of Orange.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of May 1977.
