A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING AN INTERSECTION
AT WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND
• DIRECTING THE.TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO MAINTAIN
NECESSARY STOP SIGNS AT SAID INTERSECTION
AND DETERMINING THAT SAID RESOLUTION IS
CORRECTING A TYPOGRAPHICAL OR CLERICAL ERROR
AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE THE MAKING OF AN
ALTERATION OF FORMER RESOLUTION NO. 8661
(MARGUERITE AVENUE AT PACIFIC VIEW DRIVE)
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
8661 on December 22, 1975, authorizing the erection and
maintenance of stop signs on Marguerite Avenue at Pacific
View Drive; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the City Council to
further authorize the erection and maintenance of stop signs
on Pacific View Drive at Marguerite Avenue; and
WHEREAS, through a typographical or clerical error
in Resolution No. 8661 the direction to erect and maintain
stop signs on Pacific View Drive at Marguerite Avenue was
omitted; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the City Council at
the time it adopted Resolution No. 8661 to provide for the
erection and maintenance of stop signs on Pacific View Drive
at Marguerite Avenue; and
WHEREAS, said intersection should be designated as
an intersection where vehicles are required to stop at all
entrances thereto;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that Resolution No. 8661 be and
is hereby corrected, and the City Traffic Engineer is directed
to erect and maintain stop signs at the following location:
On Marguerite Avenue at Pacific View Drive
• and
Pacific View Drive at Marguerite Avenue
ADOPTED this 12th day of December , 1977.
