A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE PARCEL MAP
FOR RESUBDIVISION NO. 582, ACCEPTING THE DEDI-
CATION OF A CORNER CUTOFF AT LARKSPUR AVENUE
AND EAST COAST HIGHWAY AND THE RELEASE AND
RELINQUISHMENT OF ALL VEHICULAR ACCESS RIGHTS
TO EAST COAST HIGHWAY, APPROVING A SUBDIVISION
AGREEMENT GUARANTTING COMPLETION OF THE PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED WITH RESUBDIVISION.NO.
582, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a Parcel Map for Resubdivision No.
582, subject to the offer of dedication of a corner cutoff at
Larkspur Avenue and East Coast Highway, and release and relinquish-
ment of all vehicular access rights to East Coast Highway; and
WHEREAS, Mutual Savings and Loan Association has made
the offer of dedication of a corner cutoff at Larkspur Avenue
and East Coast Highway; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain Subdivision Agreement
between the City of Newport Beach and Mutual Savings and Loan
Association guaranteeing completion of the improvements required
with Resubdivision No. 582; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Parcel Map
and offer of dedication of a corner cutoff at Larkspur Avenue
and East Coast Highway, and finds that the approval of the
Parcel Map and the acceptance of the above - described offer of
dedication to be in the best interest of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms and
conditions of the above - described Subdivision Agreement and
finds them to be satisfactory and that it would be in the best
interest of the City to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said Parcel Map is approved and
the offer of dedication is hereby accepted, and the City Clerk
0 is authorized to execute the certificate on said Map consistent
herewith and approving the signature omissions per Section
66436(b)(1). of the Subdivision Map Act.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said agreement above
described is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
City of Newport Beach.
