A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS
IN ALLEYS FOR VEHICLE PARKING
WHEREAS, Section 12.48.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code prohibits parking in any alley except in areas
designated by the City Council for vehicle parking and signs
are in place giving notice thereof; and
WHEREAS, the areas of the alleys hereinafter
described are suitable for vehicle parking,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the areas of the
alleys hereinafter described be designed for vehicle parking,
to wit,
Those portions of the alleys running in a
north -south direction between Island Avenue
and 9th Street running from Ocean Front to the
first alley southerly of and parallel to Balboa
Boulevard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is
authorized and directed to cause signs to be posted in said
areas giving notice that parking is permitted.
ADOPTED this 12th day of February , 1979.
