A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO INCREASE THE FISCAL YEAR 1978 -79 ARTERIAL
HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM ALLOCATION FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON COAST
HIGHWAY, SOUTH SIDE BETWEEN JAMBOREE ROAD AND
AVOCADO AVENUE (C -1900)
WHEREAS, on December 12, 1977, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 9242 requesting the County to provide
$70,000 for the improvement of East Coast Highway between
Jamboree Road and Avocado Avenue in their 1978 -79 Arterial
Highway Financing Program (AHFP), Project No. 944; and
WHEREAS, thereafter on April 23, 1979, the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 9545 authorizing the execution
of an agreement which increased the County's allocation for
said project to $87,500; and
WHEREAS, based on the latest appraisal of the project,
the County's share of costs needs to be increased further to
$110,500; and
WHEREAS, the County has :requested that the City adopt
a resolution requesting the increased allocation for AHFP
Project No. 944,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby requests that the County
of Orange increase the AHFP allocation for Project No. 944 to
$110,500.
