• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SUBSECTION A OF
SECTION 12 OF THE HARBOR PERMIT POLICIES RE-
LATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR PERMITS
TO BECOME EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1979, AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 9353
WHEREAS, on August 24, 1964, the City Council adopted
a set of Harbor Permit Policies by Resolution No. 6019, which
policies have been subsequently amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is desirable
to increase the fees for new pier permits, revisions, pier
permit transfers, and dredging permits, which necessitates the
amendment of Subsection A of Section 12 of the Harbor Permit
Policies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Subsection A of
Section 12 of the Harbor Permit Policies of the City of Newport
Beach is amended to read:
"A. Schedule of Fees
New Permits Administrative Action $ 200.00
Council Action 280.00
Plus:
$25.00 for each additional
slip and $2.50 for each
lineal foot of bulkhead,
except in the Grand Canal
where new permits shall be
$60.00
Revisions Administrative Action $ 95.00
Council Action 150.00
Plus:
$25.00 for each additional
slip and $2.50 for each
lineal foot of bulkhead
Transfers $165.00
Dredging $ 75.00
For work started but not finished within the time
limit specified, a $60.00 fee will be charged for
any Council request for a time extension.
For all transfers not applied for within thirty
(30) days from the date the abutting upland property
changed ownership, an additional fee of $60.00 will
be charged.
If the value of work proposed under a revision is
over 50% of the replacement value of the existing
structure, a new permit will be required."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbor Permit Policies
adopted by Resolution No. 6019 be amended to reflect the above
amendment and a copy of said amended policies be kept on file
in the City Clerk's Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above - mentioned
schedule of fees become effective as of July 1, 1979.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 9353 is
hereby rescinded.
ADOPTED this 25th day of June , 1979.
