A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
• CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO
THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR LOT 1 OF TRACT NO.
9587
WHEREAS, Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 was deeded to the
City by deed recorded May 11, 1977; and
WHEREAS, Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 contained 5.25
acres to be used for park purposes, which was a condition of
approval of Tract No. 9587; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Tract No. 10151
on January 23, 1978, which tract amended Tract No. 9587,
wherein Lot 43 of Tract No. 10151, containing 7.38 acres for
park purposes, was approved; and
WHEREAS, said Lot 43 of Tract No. 10151 contains a
portion of former Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587, plus additional
area; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City to quit-
claim Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 to The Irvine Company in
considerationfor the grant from The Irvine Company of Lot 43
of Tract No. 10151 for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, the net benefit to the City of Newport
Beach is an increase in the amount of park area within the
Ci ty;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed to The
Irvine Company for Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587.
