RESOLUTION NO. Q613
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING AN ALTERNATE
MEMBER TO THE SANTIAGO LIBRARY SYSTEM LAY
ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1979, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9525 appointing
Richard McFarland as an alternate member of the Santiago Library
System Lay Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the alternate member position on the Board
has been vacated due to the recent death of Mr. McFarland; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Board of Library Trustees
has recommended Beg .Tnnpq and MTs. Holly Wilkinson to fill
that presently vacated position; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this recommenda-
tion and finds it to be appropriate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does hereby appoint Bag ,Tones
as an alternate member of the Santiago Library
System Lay Advisory Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said appointee is a repre-
sentative of the public -at -large and of the underserved residents
in the system service area pursuant to Section 18710(s) of the
California Library Services Act of 1977.
ADOPTED this 13th day of August , 1979.
