RESOLUTION NO. 9694 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE BOARD OF <br />SUPERVISORS'OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT <br />THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO <br />RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A <br />GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID <br />CITY ON APRIL 8, 1980. <br />WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held <br />in the City of Newport Beach on April 8, 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and <br />in relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots <br />and polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City, <br />and it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters <br />of the County of Orange will prepare and furnish the City with <br />duplicate computer tapes of registered voters for self - mailer <br />pamphlets; <br />WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this <br />service shall be paid by the City of Newport Beach; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport <br />Beach DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: <br />SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this <br />City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said <br />County to permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish <br />to said City for use in conducting said election to be held <br />on April 8, 1980, duplicate computer tapes of registered voters <br />for self - mailer pamphlets. <br />40 SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said <br />County for services performed when the work is completed and <br />upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill. <br />
