HomeMy WebLinkAbout10003 - Amendment 560 - Newport Place Planned Community0 • • RESOLUTION NO. 101003 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR NEWPORT PLACE: PLANNED COMMUNITY (Amendment No. 560) WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be approved by a resolution of the City Council setting forth full particulars of the amend- ments; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on February 19, 1981, at which time it considered certain amendments to the Planned Community Development Plan for Newport Place Planned Community; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission adopted Resolution certain amendments Newport Place Plani Commission Minutes Exhibit "A" and by and No. 1064 recommending to the City Council that to the Planned Community Development Plan for ied Community as set forth in the Planning of February 19, 1981 attached hereto as this reference made a part hereof, be adopted; WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said amendments to the Planned Community :Development Plan for Newport Place Planned Community as set forth in said Exhibit "A" are desirable and necessary; and c=, WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendments in accordance with all provisions of law, • 0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendments to the Newport Place Planned Community as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: the environmental documenta- tion is hereby accepted. ADOPTED this 9-4.d day of ��rrh 1981. In response to a question posed by Commissioner Allen, Planning DirectoQr Hewicker stated that there is still square f3o age within Newport Place which can be built. C,,ommissioner Allen asked if the 2,843 square feet,of unused net floor area for the Enkay Site cam be deleted. Planning Director Hewicker stated - h.at this is an issue of the property owner's deveT pment rights and that the Commission would hav to pr.opose an amendment to the Planned Community Text in order to pursue this. Motion was made to adopt Resolution No. 1064 , approving Amendment No. 560, recommending same to the City Council for adoption, with the foll ing revision to Page 8 of the Newport Place Planned Community Text, which MOTION CARRIED: "F.
