HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-105 - San Diego Creek South SiteRESOLUTION NO. 83 -105 WHEREAS, the Coastal Act of 1976 requires the City of Newport Beach to prepare a local coastal program; and WHEREAS, as a part of the development and implementation of the Coastal Act, a Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan has been prepared; and WHEREAS, said Land Use Plan sets forth objectives and supporting policies which serve as a guide for the future development in the coastal zone in the City of Newport Beach; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing to consider a certain amendment to the Local Coastal Program Land use Plan and adopted Resolution No. 1098 recommending to the City Council certain amendment to the Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan in a public hearing; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and certified the environmental document when considering said amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby approve the Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan Amendment No. 3, as follows: 1. That Eastbluff Drive extension be deleted from the LCP Plan of Streets and Highways. 2. That the extension of University Drive South to Eastbluff Drive North be designated on the LCP Plan of Streets and Highways as a Primary Road - four lanes divided. 3. That the area northerly of the alignment of University Drive South be designated for Administrative, Professional and Financial Commercial use. "Park and Ride" facilities and temporary dredge spoil disposal are also permitted on this site. • 4. That area southerly of the alignment of University Drive South be designated for Recreational and Environmental Open Space and Multiple - Family Residential uses. 5. That a development agreement between the City of Newport Beach and The Irvine Company be executed prior to or concurrent with any further discretionary approvals. This agreement shall address provisions of affordable housing, park land dedication, traffic and circulation system improvements, dedications and exactions, the fire station reservation, and the phasing of all components. The development in North Ford /San Diego Creek South and the additional 295,000 square feet of development in Koll Center Newport - Office Site "C" shall be subject to this agreement.
