• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO
PURCHASE A TEN - PASSENGER VAN
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, the Section 10234 of the California Public Contract Code allows local
governments to cooperatively purchase goods and services through the State of California
General Services Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach approved the purchase of a
paratransit van for the Community Services Department in the Fiscal 1996 -97 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase said van through the State program at a lower cost
than if the City sought its own competitive bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
That the Office of Procurement, Department of General Services for the State of California is
authorized to purchase one ten - passenger bus for and on the behalf of the City of Newport Beach
•pursuant to Section 10234 of the California Public Contract Code, and that the City Manager or
his designee is hereby authorized and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other
documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.

City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 10th
day of March, 1997, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
