Of the Streets and Highways <br />• Code) is authorized to summarily vacate and abandon public easements; and <br />WHEREAS, there are certain portions of water and sewer easements across Lot <br />18 of Tract No. 6015, recorded February 28, 1977 in Book 12085, Pages 1797 through <br />1801 inclusive of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder of the County of <br />Orange, State of California, and which are legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted <br />on Exhibit "B" and incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at <br />length herein; and <br />WHEREAS, the easements described above have not been used for five <br />consecutive years by the City of Newport Beach for the purpose for which it was <br />dedicated or acquired; and <br />WHEREAS, Southern California Edison has requested that a public utility <br />easement be reserved over a portion of the easements to be vacated, for Edison <br />facilities <br />WHEREAS, the. City Council of the City of Newport Beach reviewed and <br />considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport beach prior <br />to declaring a summary vacation of those certain portions of the easements and has <br />• determined that the proposed vacation is consistent with the General Plan. <br />Ye <br />)f <br />
