HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-77 - Street Closure Fee Waiver - American Legion Post 291Resolution No. 2001 -77 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH WAIVING FEES REQUIRED TO OBTAIN STREET CLOSURE PERMITS FOR NO MORE THAN 10 EVENTS PER YEAR HELD AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 291 WHEREAS, the Sons of the American Legion was created in 1932 in order to extend membership to the sons of those eligible for membership in the American Legion; and WHEREAS, Newport Harbor Squadron 291 was established in 1934 and annually raise thousands of dollars for worthwhile local causes; and WHEREAS, the Newport Beach City Council can waive City fees when appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of Newport Beach, California that fees for no more than ten (10) street closure permits annually are hereby waived, with Street Closure applications still being required for fee waiver events.
