A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH CREATING THE AD HOC BALBOA
PENINSULA ZONING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Newport Beach that a City Council Committee be formed, with
direction given to the Committee, to make recommendations to the
City Council on zoning activities for the Balboa Peninsula;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that an Ad Hoc Balboa Peninsula Zoning
Committee be and hereby is established.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the composition, function
and duties of the Committee shall be! as follows:
1. Membership
The Committee membership shall include the Mayor
and two other members of the City Council, Councilman Bill Agee
and Councilman Donald Strauss.
2. Responsibilities
Responsibilities of said Committee shall be to
review the R -3, R -4 and commercial ;zoned parcels on the Balboa
Peninsula and, submit recommendations to the City Council within
two months on possible revision to zoning and /or development
standards for said area.
3. Technical Assistance
Staff support to the committee shall be provided by
the Planning Department staff, as necessary to assist in their
deliberation.
4. Termination
This Committee shall :sunset on December 31, 1984.
