A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A ONE -WAY
• BICYCLE TRAIL, IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION, ON
THE WEST SIDE OF BACKBAY DRIVE BETWEEN SAN
JOAQUIN HILLS ROAD AND EASTBLUFF DRIVE
WHEREAS, Section 12.56.180 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever any resolution of this City
designates any portion of a street or sidewalk as a bicycle lane,
the City Traffic Engineer shall place and maintain signs giving
notice thereof; and
WHEREAS, the street hereinafter described is a street
that should be designated as a one -way bicycle trail, in a
southerly direction, on the west side of Backbay Drive between
San Joaquin Hills Road and Eastbluff Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the above- described area be and
hereby is designated as a one -way bicycle trail, as hereinbefore
described; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
street to indicate the above designaition.
ADOPTED this 24th day of September , 1984.
