A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH RELATIVE TO
COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT PLANNING ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, recognizing

the issues identified
in its Local Coastal Program
Land Use Plan and approved
Work Program, desires
to prepare the Implementing
Ordinances based upon the
approved Land Use Plan
and Work Program; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has developed an application
package for reimbursement of staff time and related expenses for the preparation
of the Zoning Implementation Ordinances, as provided for by the California
Coastal Commission, under authority of the Government Code of the State of
California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby requests the Coastal Commission to provide financial
assistance under authority of the Government Code of the State of California,
not to exceed $8,270. Such financial assistance shall be used to reimburse the
City of Newport Beach for staff time spent in preparing the Phase III Zoning
Implementation Ordinances as described in the attached project description.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Director of
the City of Newport Beach Planning Department is hereby authorized and empowered
to execute in the name of the City of Newport Beach, all necessary applications,
contracts, and agreements and amendments hereto to implement and carry out the
purposes specified in the Resolution.
