A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A RENEWED ONE YEAR
AGREEMENT WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE COUNTY TO
• ADMINISTER, REGULATE AND ENFORCE ALL CITY AND
COUNTY ORDINANCES DEALING WITH ANCHORAGE AND
MOORING REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, since 1976 the City of Newport Beach and the
County of Orange have maintained a Joint Powers Agreement for
purposes of administering moorings located in Lower Newport Bay;
and
WHEREAS, the most recent Joint Powers Agreement expired
on December 31, 1985; and

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City
Council of
the City of Newport Beach
that:
1. That the Mayor
and City Clerk
are hereby
authorized
to execute a Joint Powers
Agreement with
the County
of Orange
providing for mooring
administration
services in a form
substantially identical
to the Agreement
presented to the City
Council on January 27,
1986, with the
exception
that the
Agreement be for one (1)
year.
