RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON NORTH SIDE OF WEST COAST HIGHWAY
FROM NEWPORT BOULEVARD TO SUPERIOR AVENUE.
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010 of the Newport Beach Muni-
cipal Code provides, among other things, that when authorized
signs are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall stop,
stand or park any vehicle upon such streets or portions thereof
as the City Council shall designate by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to prohibit the parking of
vehicles on the north side of West Coast. Highway because of the
high -speed traffic and the dangerous condition which occurs when
individuals try to cross Pacific Coast Highway to reach their
vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles on the north
side of West Coast Highway from Newport Boulevard to Superior
Avenue shall be prohibited.
ADOPTED this 28th day of April , 1986.
