RESOLUTION NO. 86 -85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING"
RESTRICTIONS FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 12:30 P.M.
EVERY TUESDAY ON THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF BALBOA
BOULEVARD FROM 28TH STREET TO 32ND STREET TO
IMPROVE STREET SWEEPING EFFECTIVENESS.
WHEREAS, Section 12.55.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by
resolution designate streets or portions of streets on
which the parking or standing of vehicles is to be pro-
hibited, and shall incorporate in the resolution the days
of the week and the exact time during which such prohibition
shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that
it is reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit
parking of vehicles at certain times and in certain areas
of the City in order to effectively operate the City street
sweeping program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every
Tuesday on the northerly side of Balboa Boulevard from 28th
Street to 32nd Street.
