HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-107 - Modifying City CommitteesRESOLUTION NO. 91 -107 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH MODIFYING VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS TO AMEND THE DUTIES OF, EXTEND THE TERMINATION DATES OF, OR SUNSET VARIOUS CITY COMMITTEES. • WHEREAS, the City Council Policy Manual requires periodic review of the status of Boards, Commissions and Committees; and • WHEREAS, the City Council conducted this review on October 28, 1991 and determined that the duties and terms of certain Committees should be revised and that one Committee should be terminated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. Utilities Committee. Resolutions 9215 and 89 -133 are hereby amended to add subsection "F" to read as follows: "F. Review, advise, and make recommendations on the City's oil and gas operations." 2. Bicentennial Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee. Section 3 of Resolution number 87 -172 is amended to read as follows: 113. Termination. The Committee shall sunset on March 31, 1992." 3. Balboa Bay Club City Council Ad Hoc Committee. Section 5 of Resolution number 89 -136, and corresponding provisions of Resolution number 90 -123 are amended to read as follows: 115. Termination. The Committee shall terminate upon the submission of its final report to the City Council or on January 1, 1993, whichever occurs first, unless the termination date is extended by subsequent resolution of the City Council." 4. Circulation Buildout City Council Ad Hoc Committee. Section 3 of Resolution number 89 -136, and the corresponding provisions of blanket Resolution number 90 -123 are hereby amended 1 • • to read as follows: "3. The Committee shall meet as often as necessary and shall sunset on January 1, 1993, or when the final report of the Committee is transmitted to the City Council, whichever occurs first." 5. Historical Preservation Ad Hoc Committee. The provisions of Resolution number 91 -79 are amended to extend the termination date of the Ad Hoc Preservation Committee to January 1, 1993, or at such time as the Committee makes its recommendations to the City Council, whichever occurs first. 6. Technical Oil Advisory Committee. The Technical Oil Advisory Committee is hereby sunsetted. Resolutions 4398 and 5069 are hereby repealed. ADOPTED, this 12th day of November 1991. i 2 MAYOR
