A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
SUPPORTING THE SUBMITTAL SR- 55 /SR -73 FREEWAY INTERCHANGE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION
FUNDING PROGRAM AND REGIONAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
• DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINES, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City supports regional coordination of
transportation improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City supports the improvement to the
SR- 55/SR -73 Interchange through the addition of the missing
Connector Roads "B" and "D "; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects
within the incorporated cities and the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach hereby endorses submittal of grant applications by the City
of Costa Mesa to the Orange County Transportation Authority for
the improvement of the SR- 55/SR -73 Freeway Interchange.
