A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 21 1993.
• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does resolve as
follows:
Section 1: That the City Council does hereby find,
determine and declare as follows:
A. That pursuant to applicable law, a Municipal election was
held and conducted in conjunction with the State -wide election on
the 2nd day of November, 1993; and
B. That the said election was held and conducted in
conformity with all applicable provisions of law; and
C. That the said election was held for the purpose of
submitting to the voters of said City the proposed amendment,
Measure "A ".
D. That pursuant to the direction of the City Council, the
Registrar of Voters has conducted a canvas of the results of the
election and has filed with the City Council a certificate (Exhibit
"A") which has been examined and accepted by the City Clerk.
Section 2: The City Council confirms the City Clerk's
certification of the following election results:
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH - MEASURE "A"
YES 7,560
NO 13,868
PRECINCT BALLOTS CAST: 17,626
ABSENTEE BALLOTS CAST: 4,148

TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 21,774
ADOPTED, this 13th day of December, 1993.
