A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH REPEALING CERTAIN RESOLUTIONS TO
SUNSET VARIOUS CITY COMMITTEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and evaluated certain committees
• established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, as a result of this review, has determined to
sunset certain committees;
NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach that the resolutions described below are amended or repealed as follows:
Resolution No. 6916 establishing the Undergrounding Utilities Coordinating
Committee is hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the
effective date of this resolution. The duties of this committee are delegated to
City Staff.
2. Resolution No. 89 -133 establishing the Utilities Committee is hereby repealed
and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this resolution.
3. Resolution No. 92 -86 establishing the Income Property Committee is hereby
repealed and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this
resolution.
4. Resolution No. 87 -112 establishing the Annexation Committee is hereby
repealed and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this
resolution.
5. Resolution No. 9215 establishing the Off - Street Parking Committee is hereby
repealed and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this
resolution. The duties of this committee shall be assumed by the Traffic Affairs
Committee.
6. Resolution No. 87 -40 establishing the City Council Airport Ad Hoc Committee is
hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this
resolution.
7. Resolution No. 91 -9 establishing the Air Quality Management Plan
Coordinating Committee is hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate
on the effective date of this resolution.
8. Resolution No. 89 -147 establishing the Balboa Bay Club City Council Ad Hoc
Committee is hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the
effective date of this resolution.
9. Resolution No. 94 -06 establishing the CIOSA Implementation Committee is
hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this
resolution.
10. Resolution No. 91 -57 establishing the Central Balboa Specific Area Plan
• Committee is hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the
effective date of this resolution.
11. Resolution No. 91 -97 and Resolution No. 92 -134 establishing the Oceanfront
Walk Committee are hereby repealed and the committee shall terminate on the
effective date of this resolution.
12. Resolution No. 92 -100 and Resolution No. 92 -118 establishing the West
Newport Comprehensive Plan Committee are hereby repealed effective
December 30, 1994 and the committee shall terminate on that date.

13. Resolution No. 93 -8 establishing the Gang Task Force is hereby repealed and
the committee shall terminate on the effective date of this resolution. The duties
of the Gang Task Force shall be assumed by the Police Department.
14. Resolution No. 94 -20 establishing the Pacific View Memorial Park Committee is
hereby repealed effective upon the date when their report is submitted to the
City Council.
15 Resolutions No. 9215, No. 89 -113 and No. 91 -107 establishing the Utilities
Committee is hereby repealed. The Committee shall terminate on the effective
date of this resolution.
16. Resolution No. 9215 reaffirming various standing committees, including some
previously established by Council direction is hereby repealed and the
committees listed therein are hereby terminated on the effective date of this
resolution. Committees established by Council order that are terminated
include the Pending Legislation and Procedural Ethics Committee, the Tideland
Affairs Committee and the Budget Committee.
ADOPTED this 12th date of December 1994.
