HomeMy WebLinkAbout(1987, 05/26) - F-14 - Amended11 F -14 PURCHASING AUTHORITY FOR GOODS AND SERVICES 1. The City Manager shall have authority to approve the purchase of all capital outlay items without further Council approval or authorization, subject to the following: a. Capital outlay purchases will be procured by item as shown by the budget, provided the contract does not exceed the total budgeted amount of the item; b. There is no significant deviation from the approved type or description of the item. 2. The City Manager is further authorized to enter into contracts on behalf of the City for the following: a. Leasing, servicing or maintenance of equipment, provided that such items have been included within the approved budget, and that the expenditure of each such item shall not exceed the sum of $30,000; b. Retain consultants for professional services without prior Council approval, provided the fee does not exceed $30,000, and funds are available; C. With public agencies or private entities for law enforcement or other services, provided the contract price does not exceed 30,000. Future changes regarding the provisions of the subject policy shall be made by resolution of the City Council.
