ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
The City Council recognizes the importance and desirability of enhancing and
beautifying the public places within the City by the placement of artwork for the
benefit of residents and visitors. To that purpose, the Arts Commission shall
investigate and periodically recommend to the City Council the purchase and
placement of appropriate artworks. Such works may include, but not be limited
to those listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
Locations for the placement of such artworks may include, but shall not be
limited to those described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit "B."
During January of each year, the Arts Commission shall submit to the City
Manager's Office a list of projects with estimated costs. Said list is to be
considered in the preparation of the next fiscal year budget. The Arts
Commission shall confer with other Boards and Commissions that may be
impacted by the recommended list of art projects.
Funding for this program shall be determined by the City Council and may be
derived from Art in Public Places Reserve Fund, Arts Commission events,
