LEASED STREET LIGHTS
It is the policy of the City to encourage the installation of
street lighting systems owned by the City. Leased street lights
shall not be installed and accepted for maintenance by the City
without prior Council approval.
Normally, leased lights would be recommended for installation
under the following conditions:
1. In alleys where wooden utility poles already exist,
and where the cost is paid for by a street lighting
maintenance district; or
2. At locations having a poor safety record.
