DISPOSAL OF DISCARDED LIBRARY MATERIALS

The Board of Library Trustees, upon the recommendation of the City
Librarian, may periodically dispose of dilapidated and /or out -of -date
books and materials when new editions are available to replace them.
Such disposal of materials may be accomplished in any of three ways:
1. Discard them as refuse;
2. Donate them to nonprofit, charitable
institutions;
3. Donate physicallsound, but out -of -date
materials to th 'F1'riends of the Newport
Beach Public L raVy for possible
inclusion in their annual book sale.
