The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as follows: SECTION I. That that portion of the public street hereinafter described within the said City be closed -up, va_ icated and abandoned for public street purposes. The said porCons of said street so closed -up, va- cated and abandoned for ,public street purposes are described as follows: All that portion of Carnation Avenue (sometimes called 30th Avenue) within the said City, from the southwesterly line of Filet Avenue (sometimes called 53rd Place) to the northeasterly line of Pacific Drive (sometimes called Electric Way Street), 1 SECTION II. That the Public work herein: Provided for is the closing -up of the street herein described in Sec -. Lion I, and it ' appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are .: no Mts. damages or C7Spense oc- �- casioned by or arising out of ]sald work, and that no assessmennecessary 'to pay the cdamages or expenses of said wand that therefore no commissers shall be appointed to assess benefits and damages. SECTION III, The City Clerk shall certifv to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be nub - Iished by one insertion in the New- Port News, a weekly newspaper Printed, published and circulated in said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPOA.T REACH FIXING THE SALARY- OF THE iXAH. SHA1, THEREOF, AND RE. PEALING THAT PORTION OF ANY ORDINANCE IN COS_ FLICT THEREII'ITH. The Board of Trustees of the rity of Newport Beach do ordain' as follows: SECTION 1. The salary of the Marshal of the City of Newport Beach is hereby fixed at the sum of $500.00 per moll h, and which salary shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries of all other officers of the said city are paid. SECTION 2. That portion of all ordinances of the city of Newport Beach. -pre scribing a different salary for fhb Marshal thereof, is hereby repeal- ed. SECTION 3. The above and foregoing OrdhtL lance shall be Printed once in THE NEWPORT NEWS, a newspaper Of general circulation printed. Published and circulated in the city of Newport Beach, and shall take effect and be in force thirty days after its Passage.
