r <br />�S <br />l <br />RESOLUTION NO. 696 <br />r' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING <br />THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF SAID <br />CITY TO PREPARE A REPORT AND AN AMEND- <br />ED ASSESSMENT OF ASSESSMENT NO. 2714 <br />FOR THE SEWER IMPROVEMENT IN CENTRAL <br />AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS AS PER <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 133. <br />WHEREAS, an assessment to cover the cost and ex- <br />penses of the construction of sewers in Central Avenue and <br />certain other streets in the City of Newport Beach, as pro- <br />vided in Resolution of Intention No. 133 adopted by the Board <br />of Trustees of said City on the 6th day of July, 1920, was <br />made by the Superintendent of Streets of said City and duly <br />recorded in his office on the 15th day of July, 1922; <br />AND WHEREAS, the said Resolution of Intention and the <br />said assessment provided that the improvement was to be done <br />under the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 191111, and that <br />bonds would issue on all unpaid assessments bearing interest <br />at the rate of 7% per annum in the manner provided by the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1915 ", the last installment of which <br />bonds were to mature fourteen (14) years from the 2nd day of <br />July next succeeding nine (9) months from their date; <br />AND WHEREAS, certain property as represented by <br />Assessment No. 2714 in said assessment was assessed therein <br />as Assessment No. 2714 for the total sum of $60720.94; <br />AND WHEREAS, there now remains an unpaid balance of <br />said amount as represented by said Assessment No. 2714, exclu- <br />sive of the year 1931 collection, the aggregate sum of $3,136.42; <br />AND WHEREAS, since the recording of said assessment <br />a portion of the property represented by said Assessment No. 2714 <br />herein referred to has been subdivided into lots and certain <br />1 <br />
