1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />t,, <br />RESOLUTION, NO. 4260 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING TRANS14ITTAL OF PROPOSED <br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH <br />TO THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA FOR APPROVAL <br />On motion of Councilman Miller, duly seconded and <br />carried, the .following Resolution was adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach <br />duly called and provided for the holding of an election in said <br />City on June 8, 1954, for tyre purpose of submitting to the <br />qualified electors of said City the proposition of shall the <br />proposed Charter of the City of Newport Beaciā€¢, be adopted; and <br />WHEREAS, said election was consolidated, with the primary <br />election to be held on the same date within the bound*ries of the <br />City of Newport Beach by Resolution of said City Council and by <br />order of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, State of <br />California; and <br />WHEREAS, said election, pursuant to said orders or can- <br />solidation, was duly held at the polling places prescribed for <br />said primary election, and the votes cast thereat were canvassed <br />and the returns thereof made at the time and in the manne.'and <br />form provided by law; and <br />WHEREAS, on the 10th day of June, 1954, said Board of <br />duly assembled at its usual place of meeting for the <br />of canvassing the retarms of said election and has com- <br />such canvass the 28th day of June, 1954; and <br />26 WHEREAS, the said Board of Supervisors of Orange County <br />California on Jame 28, 1954, duly adopted a Resolution stating <br />27 <br />28 the results of the canvass of election returns of the City <br />29 1 Election of the City of Newport Beach held on June 8, 1954, above <br />ntioned; and <br />30 <br />31 WHEREAS, it was determined by said Board of Supervisors <br />32 In said Resolution of June 28, 19x4, that the number of votes <br />-1- <br />
