HEARING OBJECTIDI1 S OF SAID PROPOSED ABAU—
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, -our--
scant to the provisions of an act of the legislature of the
State of California, known as "Street Opening Act of 186911,
approved March 6, 1689, and amendments thereto, do resolve and
declare as follows:
Section I. That the public interest and convenience
requires the closing up and abandonment for public street nur--
poses, of a portion of that certain alley as hereinafter described
within the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following
described alley to be closed up and abandoned for uublic street
Purposes, to—wit:
All that portion of that certain Fourteen (14) foot
alley lying between block 435 of Corona Del Mar, as
recorded in laiscellaneous 1�a.ps, Book 3, pages 41 and
42, records of Orange County, California, and Block
"G" of Tract Do. 323 as recorded in Miscellaneous %taps,
Book 14, pages 40 and 41, records of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot
22 of said Block 435 of Corona Del Idar; running thence
northeasterly in a direct line along the southeasterly
line of Heliotrope Avenue to the most westerly corner
of Lot 1 of said Block "G" of Tract rvo. 323; thence
southeasterly along the northeasterly line of said
alley a distance of 14.38 feet to the most westerly
corner of Lot 2, Block "G" of said Tract ;,323; thence
i southwesterly in a direct line 14 feet to a point in
the southwesterly line of said alley, which point is
10.3.62 feet northwesterly of the most easterly corner
of Lot 22, Block 435 of said Corona Del Friar; thence
northwesterly along the northeasterly line of Lot 22
of said Block 4.35, Corona Del. Mar 14.36 feet to the
point of beginning.
All of which is more clearly shown on a certain man approved and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said
closing up and abandonment by Resolution Yo.,3 (C3, on the 16th
• day of December, 1929.
Section 2. That the public work herein provided for is
the closing up and abandonment for public street purposes of the
portion of the alley herein described in Section 1 and it appearing
to the City Council that there are no costs, damages or expanses
occasioned by or arising out of said Tors and that no assessment
is necessary to pay the costs, damages or expenses of said work,
and that therefor no assessment district of lands to be affected
or benefited by said work or improvement is necessary.
Section 3. That the said City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does further declare that the lot, land or premises
affected by the closing uo and abandonment of the hereinbefore
described alley and benefited by said improvement are those certain
parcels of real property described as follows, to -wit:
Lots 1 and 2, Block "G", Tract 323, Corona Del Mar„ as
recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41, of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California, and
Lot 22, Block 435, Corona Del Mar, as recorded in Book 3,
pages 41 and 42, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.
Sedtion 4. That the proceedings for the closing up
of the aforesaid alley shall be had and taken under and in
accordance with an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated and known as "An Act to Provide for
Laying Out, Opening, Extending, ISIdening, Straightening or
• Closing un in Whole or in Part of any Street, Square, Lane,
Alley, Court or Place within iviunicipali.ties, to Condemn and
Acquire any and all Land and Property Necessary or Convenient
for that Purpose", approved Larch 6, 1885, and amendments thereto.

• work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (300) feet
in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices
of the passage of this Resolution, in the form and manner as
required by law; and he shell also cause a notice similar in
substance to be published by four (4) consecutive insertions
in the NVIPORT NB:Wu, a weekly newspaper published and circulated
and of general circulation in the City of Newport Beach, Calif—
ornia, and said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose
by the City Council, there being no daily newspaper published
and circulated in said City oy Newport Beach, which said notice
shall contain a statement of the fact of the passage of this
Resolution of Intention, its date and briefly describing the
work or improvement proposed, and referring to this Resolution
for further particulars.
Section 6. That any person interested objecting to
said. Mork or improvement or to the extent of the district or
lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement,
and to be assessed to nay the costs and expenses thereof,
may make written objections to the same within ten (10) days
after the expiration of the time of the publication of said notice,

which objection shall be delivered to the Clerk of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, on the day of 00""� 1929,
