NOTICE REGARDING PRESENTATIONS REQUIRING USE OF CITY EQUIPMENT
Any presentation requiring the use of the City of Newport Beach's equipment must be submitted to the City Clerk 24 hours prior to
the scheduled City Council meeting.

The agenda was prepared by the City Clerk's Office located at 100 Civic Center Drive, Bay E, 2' Floor. If you have any questions,

The City Council of Newport Beach welcomes and encourages community participation in this Planning Session meeting. Public
comments are generally limited to three (3) minutes per person to allow everyone to speak. Written comments are encouraged as
well.
The City of Newport Beach's goal is to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in all respects. If, as an attendee or
a participant at this meeting, you will need special assistance beyond what is normally provided, we will attempt to accommodate

2. Public Comments on Non -Agenda Items (about 9:05 a.m.)
Public comments are invited on non -agenda items generally considered to be within the subject
matter jurisdiction of the City Council. Speakers must limit comments to three (3) minutes.
Before speaking, please state your name for the record.
Fiscal Picture Update (about 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.)
City staff will provide an update on the City's fiscal picture, including challenges and
opportunities. The Council Members are welcome to interject with questions at any time.
Public comments specific to fiscal issues
4. Break (about 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.)
5. Pending Capital and Other Projects (Public Works Director and Community Development
Director) (about 10:20 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
City staff will provide update on various public and private projects underway, in the pipeline,
or planned for the future. The Council members are welcome to interject with questions at any
time.

6. Guidance to City Staff (all Council Members) (about 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
The Mayor and Council members are invited to discuss various areas of emphasis for 2017,
including giving direction to City staff as to what Council members would like to see brought
back on future agendas for discussion and/or more formal action.
