Project BackgroundProject located at the northeast corner of Superior Ave and West Coast HwyReal properties acquired from Caltrans in 1992 (exclusively for public parking) and 2005 (exclusively for open space and recreation)Existing public parking lot serves visitors to the beach and Sunset Ridge ParkEasterly parcel is currently undevelopedSunset Ridge Park was completed in Dec 2014 with no on-site parking due to CA Coastal Commission permitting constraints
Goals and ObjectivesDiscuss ideas and project features to be incorporated into conceptual design to meet goals and objectives:Improve pedestrian accessImprove bicycle and vehicular circulationIncrease public parkingDevelop new recreational areaGuidance and concurrence from PB&R Commission on project features
