WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach h presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a oertai map showing a certain alley whioh the City of Newport Beach propose to vacate, Mose up, and abandon, and described as follows, to -wit: All of that alley 3,n Block A, 10 feet in width, as shown upon a map of Traot No. 673, recorded in Miscellaneous baps, Book 20, pages 17 &.113, Reeords of ©range County, California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 1 of said Blook A; thence, southwesterly along the southwesterly prolonga- tion of the northwesterly line of said Lot 1 to the most northerly oorner of Lot 3 of said Blook A; thence, south- easterly outheasterly along the northeasterly line of said Lot 3, to the most easterly oorner of said Lot 3„ thence, northeasterly along the northeasterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot Z, to the most southerly corner of Lot 2 of said Blook A; thence, northwesterly along the southwest- erly line of Lot 1 and Lot S of said Black A to the point of beginning. Reserving and excepting from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or Boom time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sani- tary sewers, water lines, and etorm'drains, and public utili- ties, and appurtenant struotures in, upon, over and across said above-desoribed property, and to oonstruot, maintain,' operate, replace, remove, renew, and enlarge lines . of pipe,' conduit, cables, and other.convenient structures, equipment, and fixtures for the operation of gas lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electrical energy, mater, and incidental purposes, In- cluding access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon and over the street or alley or part thereof proposed to be vacated.
